Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay in Puerto Morelos, I had the opportunity to explore a unique hotel that artfully combines traditional charm with modern conveniences. Located just a hop away from the vibrant town, it strikes a balance between serene beach views and accessibility. Despite the unfortunate seaweed situation that plagues the nearby Caribbean, I appreciated the 24-hour front desk service. The multilingual staff were always obliging, assisting with any queries I had during my short visit. The room was notably clean and equipped with an unexpected fridge—a delightful surprise! it did come with its downsides. The condition of the beach loungers left much to be desired, and the minor charges for prime seating were a bit frustrating, especially when there were free alternatives next door. The front desk staff’s focus seemed more on policies rather than providing information on facilities, which could improve guest experiences significantly. While the location is fantastic and the staff did their best, the hotel could benefit from enhanced communication and better maintenance to truly elevate the experience for travelers like myself.
